Old Growth Redwood Grove in San Mateo County, Trip 23

Join me on a virtual tour (below) to the old growth grove in Portola Redwoods State Park. To get to this grove, begin on the Slate Creek Trail, go left on the Bear Creek Trail, hike until you hit Peter’s Creek loop, then circle it either way and return. Bring an extra sandwich — it’s 12 miles round trip.

Beautiful treasures to appreciate. The photo of the sparkling sap is exceptional.
